If I am selling, how do I get paid?

You get paid once the person buying your item acknowledges that they have received it (all items MUST be sent by you needing a signature as proof of receipt) and they are happy with it.

Payment is made directly to your PayPal or bank account for which details will be asked separately once the item has been sold and the person buying the item is happy with what has been received.

If I am buying, how does eLoft benefit me?

The benefit to the buyer is that your interest is at mind and only if you find the item received defective within 7 days of receipt will you be able to request a refund which is subject to return of the item to the seller (all items MUST be sent by you needing a signature as proof of receipt. Postage is not refundable) which needs to be acknowledge by the seller and a 20% administration fee will be taken from the refund due.

All items must be sold from within the United Kingdom.
By completing the form you are NOT GUARANTEED that eLoft will represent you.
eLoft will consider all the details and contact you if interested within 7 days.
Items submitted must be considered to have at least a basic starting price of £20.00.
If accepted there will be an administration charge ONLY IF THE ITEM SELLS AT AUCTION (see examples to the right).
Once the auction has ended and you have had at least 1 bid, a percentage of the final gross price (including delivery) is payable to eLoft (see examples to the right).

About Insertion Fees

An Insertion Fee is a listing fee. It is the price eBay charges for listing your item for sale.
There is no insertion when using eLoft with an added administration cost which is charged in advance at the time of listing.
As with a newspaper ad, you need to pay this basic administration fee, even if your item is not sold (If your item sells, a Final Value Fee will be deducted). Administration Fees are not refundable.

Example: You sold a single item for £105.00. Using the Final Value Fee table, your Final Value Fee is £30.98. This is calculated as follows: £30.98 (0.2950 times £105.00).

The NET amount payable to you based on the example given for an item which is sold for £105.00 is calculated as follows:

About Final Value Fees

You are charged a Final Value Fee (FVF) if your item is sold, ends with a winning bid, This fee applies whether or not you complete the sale with the buyer.
Once payment has cleared from the buyer it is your responsibility to post the item by the method advertised within your listing.
Only when the item has been received by the buyer and confirmation of the buyer being happy with the received item will you then be paid the remaining balance of the Closing Price directly into your bank account.
If a buyer "backed out" and did not buy the item you may request a Final Value Fee Credit. The decision is with eBay on such an occasion and will incur a £5.00 administrative cost in advance which is not refundable.
The Final Value Fee (FVF) is not refundable if a buyer "returns" an item with the outcome being a refund, you are responsible for the entire refund.
